F&N - Merdeka Weekend

i realise that i haven't been sharing music with you guys for a while now. so, this Friday Nite Noise for the Merdeka Weekend. well, technically it is saturday already, but i'd like to think that some places, it still is a friday, for examples in places where they recycle calenders or where the people are too cheap to get new batteries for their watches. haha. maybe you like friday better.

anyway, this is:

as usual, click on the link, hope you like it. it's an old song, but it just popped up on my shuffle order on the way home, and it's just so fucking good.

Euphoria, Diarrhoea and a Car from Korea

euphoria:
ooh, i went to euphoria last night to celebrate melvin's birthday. haha. it was a real nice place! the deco was good, according to my brother, the girls around were hot (but i was busy not paying attention because....) the drinks were FOC courtesy of melvin, and the music was too loud.

i went to sleep at 4 in the morning today, after having a lengthy goodnight call with lipjeen (i'm lucky, i know) and i woke up at one. my neck feels like it's been twisted and wrung like a piece of wet sarong by Malek Noor. gah, me and my slothliness, and my horrid sleeping position.

diarrhoea:

malaysian communications and multimedia commission, or SKMM, (abbreviations of government bodies in malay have lotsa 'K's for all the 'Kementerian's, 'J's for all the 'Jabatan's, and in this case an 'S' for suruhanjaya) has proved that it truly deserves its big bold capital 'S' in front of its name for banning the Malaysia Today website.

it is a site where malaysians can read all about the truth behind the government controlled newspapers.

i thought of putting up the mirror link for you guys here, but i guess the AssKMM caught up and banned that site too. for the record it is http://mt.harapanmalayia.com/. funny thing is, read out loud, the link is 'empty harapan malaysia dot com'. haha.

car:

has been making gentle knocking noises. it's nine years old now, and like a dog, in human terms it must be 63 by now. while some cars, like mick jagger and recently jimmy page who keep on rocking and drugging well into their old age, my relic from korea is slowly breaking down. gah... awaiting replacement parts for some transplants.

food awaits~~~ bye.

Is This Mike ON?

eh, hallo guys. long time no type.

how have you been yeah???

me? well, i've been fine. feeling like a recluse. just damn lazy to go out la recently.

ohyeah! before i forget!!! a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! TO:

SHI YUAN!!!

QADIR!!!

(and just coz i happened to be on facebook: and saw it)

TANIA!!!

ah, where have i been? well, my computer has been attacked by a virus. so i damn lazy wanna go online la. been playing the guitar, and then trying to study a lil (coz i barely passed my previous exam) and then been playing games lorh...

and reading the papers. although i don't know why i should.

maybe it's the only way i get that wonderful rojak of feelings. yup, that should be it. can get it nowhere else.

even a cursory glance at the headlines and titles of the news pieces can give you heady mix of cynism, comic relief (especially if they're talking about politics), uttter hopelessness, depression (if you think about malaysia's future) and even a sense of hope (I'VE GOT TO GET OUTA MALAYSIA).

i mean, there are campaigns to encourage people to fly the malaysian flag. for what? so maybe if i stick a flag atop my car will the traffic policeman let me off with a warning instead of taking my rm20? if i fly the flag, tell me what i should be proud of.

for everything anyone tells me, i can tell you 3 reasons why i'm ashamed of malaysia. and God forbid if i actually read every piece of news written in blogs, in the papers, or on the grapevine, i would offer you odds of 1:10 at least.

aih aih aih.

oh yeah, olympics. how not to mention it. china is just so extreme. i mean all the stories of how much effort all the participants had to go through to be part of the olympics. smile training, months of rehearsal, stripping naked so you can be in the correct measurements, it's all mental.

you know that guy who lit the fire?? he trained for months at 2am in the morning in the bird's nest stadium so that noone would know. he even lied to his wife about it, saying that he was at work. imagine how worried she was! haha.

anyway. enough ranting.

BYE BYE BYE BYE!!!
